Little Arjun came into our studio as a referral by a good friend of mine, Angela from DNA Photography based in Buffalo, NY, who had photographed the family’s first baby, Ishan, when he was a newborn. We always appreciate referrals from our friends and clients, and they usually turn out to be the best customers and friends!
Arjun, a tiny little baby boy, was born a few weeks earlier than expected, and had tiny features but a big personality! With a full head of gorgeous hair, it didn’t matter if we put hats on him or not, he still looked absolutely adorable in everything we used.
Hats specifically used in this session included those from The Knitting Bitty (animal ears hat), Agave (the tan plain bonnet), Crowned Embellishments (the gold king crown), and even a little hand-knit bear from The Knitting Bitty, as well. We also enjoyed our little slouch hat from Hello September (white), as well as the blue angora bonnet from them as well.
Arjun was so well behaved that we were able to even do a variation of our traditional ‘side laying’ pose and use the tiny bear for him to hold on to, something we started recently incorporating in some of our images if baby cooperates!
Mom is so stunningly beautiful that these mom/baby shots turned out to be some of our absolute favorites.
And of course, one of our most favorite things to do when someone books a Brand New Family Package, is to take the last hour to photograph both mom & baby, but also dad & baby and big brother Ishan, 22 months. Although Ishan wasn’t initially excited about having his photo op, he defiantly changed his mind when we showed him how much fun it could be!
Also, we were able to do a potato-sack pose, and little Arjun liked it so much, he gave us a bunch of big cheesy grins for us to capture during this portion of his session.
We hope we will have the opportunity to watch Arjun grow, if his family decides to book a Grow With Me Package (retroactive) within the first 3 weeks past his session date, or just a single Maybe Baby session when he is sitting up without support (around 8 months old).
